I don’t use my device on a regular basis, just when I meet a customer on site, do I still need to check-in daily?
If you don't use your device on a regular basis, you must still ‘Check-in' at least one time per month to test your device. Your monthly Check-In can just be a recording of your name, and the current date. If you have logged into your device within the month during a customer or site meeting, that will count as your monthly check-in.
When should a Red Alert be used?
The Monitoring Center is available 24/7 so you can raise a Red Alert at any time of day or night. You should raise a Red Alert if you, or someone else you’re with, is subject to:
Verbal abuse
Physical attack
Threat of physical attack
A serious criminal offense
Feeling unsafe with the current circumstances
You can also raise a Red Alert if you’re injured and require medical assistance.
How does the Incapacitation Alert work?
If the device detects a falling motion followed by non-movement, the device will enter a pre-alert phase and start to vibrate and beep to attempt to gain your attention and make you aware that the device will imminently raise an Alarm if left unchecked.
The device will automatically raise an alert if the pre-alert is not canceled.
What happens in the event of a false alert (i.e., I do not need assistance)?
The operator will attempt to contact you and your escalation contacts by phone. If they cannot get through, they may leave you a voicemail to explain that the alert has been closed.
Can I use other device features while a timer is running?
Yes, you can use other features on your device while a timer is running. The timer will be visible on the home screen.
